Specific information, such as your name, address, email address, phone contacts, credit card, frequent flyer numbers, and passport details may be required. In some cases we may also need to gather additional information.  For example, for your own safety we may ask for medical information if you request assistance during your journey.

Use of personal information

Air New Zealand collects personal information for the following purposes:

• to assist in providing the services requested by you
• to process any communications requested by you
• for internal research purposes
• to assist Customs and Immigration officials
• to verify your identity and assist you if you forget your login or password details on any websites

Disclosure of personal information

• to third parties, when Air New Zealand believes in good faith that Air New Zealand is required to do so by law

Protection of information

All personal or sensitive information transmitted by Air New Zealand uses the latest secure server software. With many browsers, you will see a small padlock at the bottom of your browser which will confirm that the page you are transmitting data through is encrypted.  All personal or sensitive information transmitted by Air New Zealand is encrypted in accordance with the worldwide standard for Internet browser encryption. This encryption provides greater security than many forms of offline credit card payment. 

As an additional security measure, your credit card may also be protected by your bank.  Be certain to check the terms and conditions, and your responsibilities with your bank or credit card provider.

As no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit or receive through our websites.  These activities are conducted at your own risk.

Air New Zealand does not store credit card details online once used for the purposes of payment.

Access to your information

You may access your information, or request Air New Zealand to access your information, at any time.  You may update your online services profile, correct any information held about you, or opt in or out of receiving email communication by Air New Zealand.

If you have registered as a user on any of the websites, you may access your information by logging in with your username and password. You may also unsubscribe from
